Sympany is a textile collection company. Its activities range from textile collection and reselling to actual recycling and specific research and innovation projects. In this way, Sympany comprises several fields of expertise that are highly valuable for the project. By understanding end-of-product-life scenarios and processes as well as related business models, ECHT can benefit from insights on how traceability can be implemented and what incentives can be created for industry stakeholders. Sympany is invited to project meetings and interim presentations and shares their knowledge and expertise in form of feedback and input both in meetings or asynchronous on reports and factsheets. Sympany is also a potential candidate to take part in the training schemes and the Knowledge Platform pilots
There role as post-consumer actor expands the conceptual scope of this project, which enables the project group to broaden its systemic perspective. Sympany’s feedback on the scenario story and theory of change as parts of the traceability strategy will be very valuable. Their experience in innovation for circular economy can lead to relevant ideas and inputs that will go beyond the general scope of industry partners related to production and retail of textiles.
