By joining ECHT, PUMA would like to be part of the solution to align with PUMA’s 2030 vision to prioritise circularity even further, while working in collaboration with the industry and its peers. Rethinking the way PUMA produces and moving towards a more circular business model is one of the priorities of PUMAs sustainability strategy.

With their expertise in product design and manufacturing, PUMA actively participates in the development of the traceability strategy and the action plan for textile clothing to bring the sector forward in the traceability transition. In addition, PUMA is part of the team to develop the training schemes for the textile clothing sector to ensure that the workshop approach is tailored to the sector. Furthermore PUMA will participate in the training scheme for plastic fibres.

PUMA has been rolling out an e-learning tool on circularity for the global PUMA colleagues. Based on the PUMA material toolboxes PUMA identified circular design approaches around the longevity and cyclability of products. The e-learning is covering PUMAs Circularity Policy, as well as the circular design guidelines. Using this experience PUMA will lead the textile clothing pilot action for the Knowledge Platform and, based on this activity, develop sector-specific content for the Knowledge Platform. PUMA will use its broad network to communicate disseminate the project results and outputs to the target group in the NWE region and beyond.
